Richmond Area Code - Area codes 510 and 341 are telephone area codes in the North American Numbering Plan (NANP) that serve most of the East Bay in the US state of California. They cover parts of Contra Costa County and western Alameda County, including the city of Oakland, but excluding Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton and Sunwell.
On March 4, 1998, the central East Bay area was assigned the 925 code. The dividing line followed the Berkeley hills and the remnants of 510 west of the mountains, while moving to 925 but the land east of the mountain.

In response to expectations that 510 will expire in the second quarter of 2019, the California Public Utilities Commission has approved the addition of the coverage area code, 341, to serve the East Bay. The first ctral office code of 341 was received on July 22, 2019.
